Creating a #1 Snap channel.

User testing described an early design iteration as indistinct and not-really-on-brand. Taking that as a challenge, we treated each weekly edition as a unique design challenge, to give users valuable information and delectable pieces of on-brand eye candy to consume, while increasing engagement exponentially. Beloved franchises like “Bullseye” and “Must List” were reimagined for digital usage. The channel itself is visually fluid, guided equally by both its pop sensibility and design rules.

Design Context

A visual smorgasbord designed to maximize user engagement.

Each edition presented an opportunity to captivate users through design. A chef’s stew of pure pop blending juicy colors, tasty typefaces, and eye-catching animations. Every element was carefully chosen for its ability to flex, capable of handling anything from fast-food fare type content to the unique cuisine that is Oscar Night. Using pre-set templates (recipes), design ingredients get remixed, creating exciting, new flavor profiles that users savored in full.
